Description
Isaac Ebey was the first European settler on Whidbey Island, settling a section of land on the coast across Puget Sound from the Olympic Range in 1850. Ebey and his family and a few neighbors built the blockhouse in the 1850s in response to threatened tribal raids that did not materialize. July, 2021.
